geany "filename" doesn start after system crash [SOLVED]

#1 Post by hanzf »

Hello,

I had geany running when there was a total crash of puppy so my computer's power switch was the only way out. Now when I click a text file in ROX, the icon flashes as click response but then nothing happens. From the applications menu geany does start. In a terminal window, "geany filename" (file does exist) only gets me this:
  • root# geany xfburn.log

    (geany:4998): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
    Using the fallback 'C' locale.

    (geany:4998): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library
    bind: Address already in use
    root#
Nothing else happens.
Just typing "geany" (with no argument) gives me the same output, but then starts geany normally.
What could be wrong?
Thank you

I don't know if this will help, but after a crash it's a good idea to boot with the 'puppy pfix=fsck' option to tell Puppy to scan for filesystem errors.

Ok, thank you Pizzasgood, it works again...
I know this pfix=fsck thing but I just forgot it. Sorry...
