Joe... in all seriousness,

Shouldn't Puppy look a little more like Obiwan-Kenobe than Darth Vader? :?

Well the voting is looking ominous.... Superpup is out! 2:1 landslide!

Never mind, it was a lot of fun and productive in an artistic way. :) We now have several banners featuring Superpup in use by Lobster, raffy, gposil and myself, and possibly others. This thread also spawned some rather curious artwork...from ttuuxxx and big_bass. You gotta love Puppy!

There are heaps of great wallpapers in the wallpaper thread.. http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=36334 and on dejan555's artwork site, http://puppy-look.tk/ that also has themes and links to ttuuxxx' walls and Pizzasgood's walls. Dingo has wallpapers on his site as does gposil.

There is no shortage of quality wallpapers for Puppy. And if you don't like one or can't find what you want just fire up the Gimp and look at some of Catdude's tuts or find many of the gimp tuts on the web, and make one yourself.

Have fun :D

Cheers

I think that super pup
has many more episodes to come like bat man or spiderman :D

it also brought some fun back . I like using gimp

and it it gave me a chance to teach my son how to edit images
on the computer

he now loves using linux

so superpup is really super

have fun Micko
and don't hang up his cape so soon

Yes I agree with Joe, SuperPup has a place in puppy, If its not default, who cares? really I think Barry will include it with the other wallpapers, so its still a great accomplishment and you should be proud :) also I think there will be more things to come with SuperPup. so Yes don't shelve it yet. Its time to expand it :)

oh ya last count was 27 people out of 17583 registered users. Ummmm thats only 0.0015% of the potential vote, you can't really call it a done deal. :)

Nah! Not hanging up the cape at all! It was fun to make and Joe, as you know, Slaxer-Pup was the inspiration, which makes you partly responsible for Superpup. I'm happy he brought a bit of fun to Puppy and extra happy that he appeals to kids It shows the kids that we are not a bunch of hard nosed geeks and that Linux in general can be alot of fun. :)

Your stats of course are correct ttuuxxx! But with out the people voting there is no case for Superpup! That said, who cares? He is everywhere now, (the sites I mentioned before all have a variant of CatDude's gif  ) and I bet literally thousands have seen him. I think he is a great ambassador for Puppy. :) I do think Barry will leave the wallpaper in 4.3. He was amused.

For some reason beyond me, the poll seems to be broke because I cannot vote! But I would vote with the 66 percentile.

The poll was set to expire after 14 days, so now it doesn't let you vote.

Hey Jeff,
The men and women's hockey games were nail biters..great hockey.

Megan Agosta from the Canadian woman's team lives around 10 miles from me...there was a BIG welcome for her in Ruthven. I don't know her but wow...what a game!!

Both the men's and the women's games rocked for sure.

Hell with the NHL....the world Junior games where great as well with lots of players from my area.
