Remastering a CD and quicker bootup times

#1 Post by pixelblip »

Hi there
I've been using Puppy 4.2.1 and it's really coming on now. Well done everyone! It looks so professional.

I've got to the point where I've got a working bootable puppy on USB and I want to burn it to CD ( i.e. I want it to be a mirror of my USB pen). My pup.sfs is on the USB pen by the way.

I used the remaster (the Remax tool) and tried to to a remaster a CD last night. I saved the ISO and burnt it. When it booted up it didn't load the .sfs file that was on my pen at first - it gave me a choice of .sfs files I wanted to load. I selected '0' on the option and up booted puppy....

Sorry I am rambling....why didn't the Remaster create and exact copy of my USB pen with the sfs file ? Should I be using that Remax or the 'Remaster Puppy Live CD' option instead? I just want a copy on CD of what is on the USB pen.

Thanks for your advice.
