How to use Cricket A600 USB 3G Modem?

Hello, I just recently went to a Cricket store and got a new Cricket 3G modem because it was cheaper for me to do this than to reactivate my existing modem. I got home and opened up the box only to find a different type of modem. I had been using the U100 type and now the new one is an A600 type. I can't get this thing to work with my Pupitup 4.12 linux. If someone could look into this and create a pet or pup that would be real cool. I found some instructions on a Blog that shows how to install a mode switch thing and a shell script to activate the modem. I was wondering if this procedure would work with my puppy or if someone could create a method to follow for the puppy I'm using. There might be issues with the Kernel versions? Any help is much appreciated.
