Subject description: i2phex, imule, i2pfox, i2p, java, xeepget

Puplet:
http://www.puppylinux.org/downloads/puplets/pup2p

.PET:
http://www.censorshipsucksballs.com/2009/06/pup2p-puppy-linux-livecd-aimed-for-use-with-the-anonymous-network-i2p/

Information:
Pup2p has:
* I2P 0.7.4-3 (with GUI)
* i2pfox csb2
* I2Phex 3.2.0.103.0 (sorry couldn’t get 3.2.6.106.0 to work)
* iMule 1.4.4 (doesn’t currently work, dependency issues)
* QT Chat 0.2.10 beta
* eepgetx – A Xdialog frontend to eepget I did

All above have been configured to run under the user “spot”. The rest of the OS runs as root.

NOTES: This .PET is aimed for use with a fresh install of Puppy! It will install java as well as the other I2P related software without registering with the package manager. It will overwrite the files for the desktop icons which reverts them to the default icon set with added icons. This has been tested only on 4.2.1 and most likely wont be perfectly compatible with other versions.

To uninstall, remove the following files:
/usr/java
/usr/lib/libbfd-2.18.50.0.9.20080822.so
/usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4
/usr/lib/libQtGui.so.4
/usr/lib/libQtNetwork.so.4
/usr/lib/libQtXml.so.4
/root/spot/.i2phex
/root/logs
/opt/i2p
/opt/i2pfox
/opt/i2phex
/opt/iMule
/opt/qt_chat
/usr/local/bin/java
/usr/local/bin/java_vm
/usr/local/bin/javaws
/usr/lib/libbfd-2.19.1.so

Then right click each desktop icon and remove them.

The ISO? What browser are you trying to download with? What's the exact URL of the download with symbols?

I ask because the ISO and .PET download fine for me on Firefox. Just tried it.

The .pet is a Puppy Linux package. You have to make sure you are on Puppy Linux to use that.

If you are on puppy and it does what you say, what version of puppy you using?

The .iso is for burning to a CD with a program like BurnCDCC (for windows) or some other ISO burner for Linux and then the resulting CD is booted.

Hi Noname,

Using livecd 4.2.1

It is the dl that shows only page with symbols.

Using the pet no problem if at last I get the Pet.

EDIT: Added a mimetype for .pet on my hosting account. This may clear up the issue. Please confirm.

I'd have to look into it but I see no reason for it to act that way. Last resort you could open a terminal and do "wget http://urlhere" without the quotes.

I'm on Windows right now so I can't check but I will check it out as soon as I can.

Thanks DL worked fine.

Now faced up to the problem "how to fix update FF into the PET ?".

Afraid that is beyond my capabilities as they are very low.
