how to use lick to dual boot win10 with upupbb-8.0 on hp

#1 Post by boof »

hp 250g4: installed upupbb32-8.0 using lick. deleted sda1/EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootfwmgr.efi, and can only boot puppy OS. when choosing windows from grub2 it still looks for deleted file. new file is bootmgr.efi. does it need renaming to bootfwmgr.efi?

copied bootmrfw.efi into sda1/EFI/ * EXCEPT for Link. don't know how, but mI was able to change the default boot order for efi files so that bootmgr.efi in ~Microsoft/boot/ so that the default is a link boot menu. much use of ESC/F9/F0 on boot to selecr the boot order. a working bootable USB puppy was needed to get separation of OS's.
