Mouse Detection Screen on first boot - Keyboard not working

#1 Post by iMatt »

So after finally getting around to removing the CMOS battery so I could change the boot order, I start my computer up, everything seems to be loading fine, right up until the point where I see a screen saying "Puppy thinks you have a ps/2 mouse".

It's correct, I do, that isn't the problem though. My keyboard (usb) isn't letting me hit enter to continue on my merry way, I tried going into the setup menu when the puppy logo shows up (f2 I think?) which surprising ly works.

Basically I found out that up until this screen I have a functioning keyboard, and after that, not so much. I tried using a usb to ps/2 adapter for the keyboard to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
