using puppy and chubby puppy

hi! I am a linux newbie and am using puppy 1.06. I have also downloaded the chubby version. I just want to ask if it is okay to run the chubby version or doing so would mess up the settings in the pup001 file that puppy 1.06 made?

It is not much of a problem (do we have a 106 Chubby?)

but to be extra sure . . .

go to /mnt/home and rename pup001 to Puppy_original_pup001

then use your new chubby - you will have to set it up again

- if you use the original Puppy it will work but you may get errors with icons pointing nowhere . . .
