This is a alpha of the next Macpup. Its based on ttuuxxx's 4.31.1 and has an updated version of e17 .062. Firefox works great in it so the next Macpup will be a "Foxy". We will not be releasing this one cause of some of the 4.3 bugs.I intend to build the next version on the 4.3.1 bud fix version of puppy.
One of the cool new feature of this build of e17 is that it picks up all of the menu icons from puppy.

hello runtt 21, really admire the work of the creator of Puppy Linux and macpup. from Colombia I say that we're using far macpup and are eager to download and install the next version.
also wanted to ask when the next version could be the end of macpup foxy (even an approximate date)
thanks and excuse my English;)

I cant give you a date. I hope by the end of oct.
Barry should have 4.3.1 out soon and I hope they release a new version of e17 .I have .062 working but it is way behind the svn version .Most of the extra e17 stuff I have built for Macpup opera and opera061 wont run in .062 and the new versions of that stuff needs newer libs ( eina,ecore,evas...) than what .062 has.
I intend to continue the line of Foxy's in Macpup . It may be the end of the Opera line but not the Foxy line.

Small update, I have a working base for the next Macpup. I plugged the 431 service pack into ttuuxxx's 4.31.1 and that fixed the few issues I had had with it.I will plug my .062 build of e17 into it and start testing in the next few days.I am going to include my sakura terminal with it .

Subject description: Puppy on a Mac |

Kinda off topic perhaps, so if someone don't like this here.... move it or erase it I guess!
Is anyone working on puppy that can run on a Mac?
I ask this after literally struggling to put linux,, debian this time but have tried gentoo and suse, onto an older [old world rom] mac I think to myself... wow, look how wonderfully puppy plays w/ old PeeCee's... I need something like this for my antique macs, that can't run OSX.
What do you think??
Thanks
RP

Oh I understand... You are staying busy on a very worthy project of your own!
Guess I was just kinda wondering out loud...Sure wish I knew [lots] more about such things!
RP
BTW Do you think this is a subject for the Puppy Projects forum??
