Can't do that without checking the forum, right? And what do I see but ttuuxxx is back!
AND there are new .pets to add to the archive! How cool is this!
ttuuxxx, I can't even tell you how cool it is to see you back, and still working on this little gem!
I'll have the updates on the page tonight. You all let me know if I miss anything important.
Exciting stuff!

Hi Ttuuxxx, ttuuxxx wrote:Ok, Back in the 2 series days Xorg wasn't the best at identifying keyboard layouts, They improved over time. So I downloaded the keyboard files from 4.31 and made a pet, lets see if this worksRobert123 wrote:Same problem in Top10 so my machine and this kernel.Robert123 wrote:With regards to numlock on my T42 there is still a problem I have disabled numlock in my bios. No other pup does this.
Follow the steps in this order to see if it works
1st- go to /etc/X11 and delete any xorg.conf files that might be in that folder I had 3 of them.
xorg.conf
xorg.conf0
xorg.conf.NVIDIA
Next install the keyboard-4.31.pet
Then exit to X (Hold down CTRL+ALT and press Backspace)
then type xorgwizard at the prompt.
follow the regular monitor steps and then type xwin to start the window manager.
hope that works

Have you tried /usr/sbin/input-wizardRobert123 wrote:
Tried your pet having followed your steps and same problem remains with some of the letter keys giving numbers instead. Thanks for trying.
open a terminal and type xsetnumlock offRobert123 wrote:Yes I'm sorry Ttuuxxx whatever I try the numlock comes on - I disabled it in the bios - it still comes on when 214X boots into the desktop.
Sorry yet again doesn't work - this machine is really ---------ed up!ttuuxxx wrote:open a terminal and type xsetnumlock offRobert123 wrote:Yes I'm sorry Ttuuxxx whatever I try the numlock comes on - I disabled it in the bios - it still comes on when 214X boots into the desktop.

excellent glad you have it running on something I'm trying out the latest Slacko right now, its 111MB larger iso image than 2.14X, Doesn't come with gimp or half the programs, The DevX is 918MB extracted. Really I see why we need a version like 2.14X for older pc's and newer ones if it recognizes all the hardware.Robert123 wrote:Hi Ttuuxxx booted to desktop on dell d620 and keyboard was normal.
2 gig ram installed connected to wpa2 connection with pwireless and I am posting from it now.
I tried Tinycore a couple of times when it first came out, It wasn't bad, But it wasn't puppy, I might give it another whirl and see how its improved over the years.wanderer wrote:ttuuxxx
