Great kids. I'm sure occasionally you see something a little less but, they both look like angels in the pictures.

ttuuxxx, I hadn't paid much attention to your avatar. Guess who lives less than 20 miles north of Clermont and the Jim Beam distillery? Don't be surprised if when picking up a bottle you see a note from me. It's a small world.

Even though we live in bourbon country, my wife's mother and father are both from Bardstown (bourbon capital of the world) and both our fathers as well as other family members worked in distilleries, we prefer tequila, rum or gin.
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others

Yes I like Jim Beam and also Canadian Club, But my favorite is aberlour scotch, if you ever get a chance to try some it really nice, usually I put the bottle in the freezer for 6+ hrs to thicken it and drink it straight. Its really nice when its really cold, it doesn't freeze. But its expensive usually around $50+ a bottle, I usually only buy it every couple of years for special occasions.

Sounds good James, later I look back and see the updates that I've missed from top5-top6 release posted in the forum and do a regular update, This one I figured was enough with the glibc since that is the base for almost every app running on 2.14X.

I never do upgrades but I tried to upgrade a full install from Top 5 to Top 6.....didn't go so well. Never even got X started.... Wiping partition and doing a fresh full install on the old P3 test box.

Running Top 6 live pfix=ram on my main Linux box and discovered it doesn't like my old Nvidia card. Xorg was a complete no go so reverted to xvesa with a completely wrong screen resolution.

Xorg.conf shows the correct card and resolution but all i get is "monitor out of range" and a black screen. Not really worried about running it on this box but this is testing.......

well the 8yr didn't want her mother to have another baby because she liked being the baby of the family, but during the last month she did a complete turn around and now she looks forward to her new sister and she's ok with it now :)
funny how kids think.

Hi James is that your regular pc you usually test 2.14X on? also this is a glibc complete change, Please don't anyone try to update it, Always start fresh and maybe use puppy pfix=ram to make sure its a clean boot.
works fine on my pc with the ati driver, hmmm I might have to update the nv driver if that's what not working for you.

The Nvidia box is my main computer, I use the old P3 for all my testing. The only thing I could get out of Xorg was the black screen....on most other Puppy installs the "nv" driver is fine and goes straight to 1440x900.Lucid, Spup,432 etc......no problems.

The way I usually get nv to work on 2.14x, is that when the xorgconfig starts I select, 1024x768 and when it has the ok or test screen, just click ok, don't bother with the test at all. then the screen goes black/blank for a minute and then it opens up.

Hi ttuuxxx, Thank you for the new release pal.

A minor small problem found, there is no Boot image or F3 boot options. You forget to add the "logo.16" and "f3" files to the ISO.

I´ll continue to test it...

Greetings,
clarf

I made 3 pets in 214x top5, Ltris and two
others which Ltris needs to work.
Ltris is a tetris game.

I made a pet of the Links web browser in 214X top 5.
It has the option to change font sizes easily.
