Partview again |
|
I grabbed BK's partview script from puppy 431rc1 and plonked it into /usr/sbin in 214X15.
It half works but does anyone know what migth be missing. Starting in terminal gives no clues.
Would really like to use this.
Thanks
Dave

Hi dave there are a few difference in the the usr/bin files that are related to partview, I'll look more closely this weekend, That is why I didn't put the latest version in.
Hi sinc I agree, It does play videos rather well

Hi ttuuxxx,
That's good of you. Partview really does look like a useful app.
I posted a request elsewhere for some help to squash the multi-menus in Gxine bug but no reply so far.
Also trying to track down a count-down timer.
Have a good day.
Dave

Hi dave you might want to try ptimer and pstopwatch? They work together on 2.14X
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-4/pstopwatch-0.6.pet
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-4/ptimer-0.1.pet
Ok time to get ready for work

Okay, clarification time!
ttuuxxx, will you be replacing rxvt with mrxvt or adding it to the final distro? If so, in the original configuration or the rxvt colors?
Just trying to keep things on the right lists, you know.
Thanks,
Sully

Hi Dave, I looked your post and made a quick.
Seems a problem with "ppmtogif" file, just copy this file from /usr/bin in Puppy 4.3.1 to the same path in Puppy 2.14x. Note that the 4.3.1 file is smaller than 214x but it works fine.
Greetings,

I talked to soon. There´s and error with partview for CD/DVD drives, if you see my previuos post there are a total size of 0 for hdb (my CD-ROM), it search for sr* partitions and then replace the correct Total size for media drives.
Well I could correct this small problem, just replacing the sr* case for a iso* case assigned to a new variable "ATIPE".
Now It shows the correct size for my media drives .
I attach the new partview script and the needed "ppmtogif" file from Puppy 4.3.1.
