Hello,
since the new version of puppy linux is out I wonder if I'm finally be able to test it. Because all of my desktop and laptops have LVM2 volumes I could use Puppy only in the LiveCd. But since booting from a CD is slow and I always have to have it with me, it wasn't much for testing.
So, can Puppy 4.3 use LVM2 out of the box?
I would install it on my laptop for fast boot and fast access to internet, IM and emails. My current Debian Sid have a boot time of 30sec, which is not long but not really fast.

too geeky to even read. Don't think we support it.
Easy? Useful? Possible in the future?
PS. to forum mods. Could not put a URL bracket around link - possibly because of brackets _(Linux)

Here's a pet package for LVM2
The Puppy initrd still needs to be modified to mount logical volumes on boot.
The init script needs to do something like:
I tried to modify it myself, but failed
