Microsoft if it controlled google
would make people upgrade to their browser
Maybe Google will be kinder

You may remember MS put code in its HTML that
displayed badly in Opera -
I think Opera took them to court over it
HTML5 is being introduced
MS tried to scupper the open docs standards
They do not play nice
Is there an argument for making our Puppy websites
redirect IE users to a page telling them to upgrade their browser?
Should puppytude be extended to Microsoft?
Microsoft and HTML5

Only if you want to give people a reason not to visit your site and/or try Puppy.Lobster wrote:

I partly agree with the above.
We can add elements in the puppy sites that do not display all that well in IE6, cos IE6 is just too outdated, but we SHOULD NEVER redirect them to a page saying that they'll have to upgrade their browser before visiting puppy sites. If you want to scare away visitors, thats what you gotta do. Better is just a small block on the websites which says "Upgrade to a newer browser (e.g. Firefox, Opera or IE7/8) to display all elements on this site correctly. That way the IE6 users can still use the website. And thats good cos a really large part of ppl on the internet still use that old outdated shitty browser.
