Trying to make a Dell 1397 wifi adapter work... on Puppy 4.2

#1 Post by mrd »

From what I understand, the drivers are only available for download at this site:
http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php

I've attempted to follow the instructions to build a LKM (loadable Kernel Module), but ran into problems because the "build" path does not exist even though I've loaded the kernel .sfs and dev .sfs files onto my puppy system.

Can anyone out there tell me what else I would need to make this work. I know that the development environment is working because make is working, but creating an LKM is something I've never tried and it seems to be required for this to work.

Thanks,
M
