Puppy ST, MT and STINIT tape commands

#1 Post by Kenny-M »

Puppy 4.3.0 k2.6.25.16-SCSI

Looking for Mag Tape commands mt, st and stinit.

Have Puppy 4.3.0 accessing SCSI DLT-1 tape drive using
tar but need the tape commands mt, st and stinit as they
don't appear to be in the primary distribution. Perhaps
compiled elsewhere?

Devices created OK like /dev/st0. mknod -m 666 /dev/st c 9 0

The Kernel does have module 'st' and as I said I can
use tar but need the support tape commands.

If someone has them compiled or can direct me to the
correct site to get compiled version I would appreciate it.

Thanks to 8-Bit for his help thus far.

Thanks.
