Try ch-firefox-3.0.3.sfs from http://puppylinux.asia/members/choicepup/sfs/. It should work. If it doesn't let me know.

Thanks!

It downloaded and I put it in /mnt/home.

A boot followed and FF was installed.

@Branta
There have been reports that 0pen office v3 is unstable/crashs under Puppy 4.2
What's your initial experience ?

Another way to get Firefox is to download it from mozilla.org in tar.gz format and then uncompress it by just clicking on it to start Xarchiver. Then all you have to do is to open the Firefox folder and click on firefox to run it. I put it in /mnt/home to save ram but you could put it anywhere. I like this method because I can always get the latest firefox, even the betas, as soon as they are released without having to rely on anyone else..

Firefox 3 Ive found to be a unstable on puppy. Ive ported a highly ustomized Firefox 2.0 series from when I worked at a cybercafe that you can get as a .pet of .sfs here

[url[http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=40497

It has a great many firefox addons, and also JAVA and the latest Flash that you will need for ebay/facebook/etc.
Puppy Linux's Mission

Sorry, my server is down atm!

Edit that first closing "[" bracket, Rob, ([url[http...should be http) & it'll do a proper live link :w ... hp?t=40497

Would you also consider adding mywot plugin to your most excellent browser

http://www.mywot.com/en/download/ff

I recommend this add-on to FF a lot! It's more reliable than mcafee SA, as it updates quicker to threats
