If that was the truth he would drop his Pburn burning backend and upgrade it to libisofs, libburn, libisoburn, cdrskin, xorriso and save over 500kb compressed and have a more stable backend
I could be wrong, but I don't think he could "upgrade" pburn to use those libs. I think he would have to learn C and gtk programming, and write a completely new, proper compiled program. He is really a Bash+gtkdialog expert, so it is an enormous task you are suggesting.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

You can also run those via the console, C would be ideal, but Pburn could be adapted to use them, I know this because when I compiled bashburn it used the newer libs.
Also there are loads of documents on it, http://libburnia-project.org/

Oh, OK, you just want to use the command-line front-ends from libburnia. The website says cdrskin is cdrecord compatible, so it shouldn't require an upgrade from Zigbert - whoever releases Puppy would just have to decide to make the switch - now, I wonder about xorriso... You could always try using it instead.

I'm curious about this claim of greater stability - do you have personal experience?

Well when I made the 512kb xfburn package http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 35&t=38757 , I was getting emails from people like telling me of how many issues they had with pburn and that they were extremely happy with xfburn, I've been using it ever since I made up the package and its worked perfect every time, really I wish we had some C programmers to add some extra functions to xfburn, The size is excellent for your getting in the package, Really I would like to see puppy move over to xfce and rox, They do have a few nice applications, even a leafpad version called mousepad.lol strange

Yes, I like xfce. But I'd prefer to see it as a standard .sfs addon, as it takes up a huge amount of ram compared to JWM + Rox (Although I haven't tried 4.6 yet).
What xfce really need is a paint program - maybe they should adopt Nathural :)

I think almost all problems with Pburn have been bugs in Pburn, rather than instability in the backends. Personally I'd also expect at least that many bugs in a program so complicated, that has developed so fast, with relatively little testing. (Unless you have quite a thorough programmer - but IIRC Zigbert has claimed he isn't really a programmer :( )

Maybe it's best to send your translations as a pm. It is no need to put yourself in an exposed position.

For single words surely Babelfish would suffice? It's not a user manual you are translating here.

Shutdown. Reboot. Lock screen. Exit to prompt. Restart.
Translates to:
Выключение. Старт

Cripes ttuuxxx, give it a rest already. I don't think he's trying to bother you, but, if he his, he's sure doing a good job! You're doing exactly what you think he wants you to do.

Instead of fighting over a shutdown script, leave zigbert to reinvent wheels in peace, while you go invent something new. And if he then reinvents those new things too, we'll all realize something, won't we?

Incidentally, a quote I'm fond of, and which is particularly useful to open source:

Thats why in all future Puppies 4.2+ releases will be anti-Zigbert
gone are the following
4.2 deep thought themes icons&GTK
- pburn
- pfind
- Pprocess
- Pmusic
- Pwidgets
they have been fully replaced(other than Pwidgets) and then some  with better software versions that shut down when closed, work better, and less resources due to the fact they actually shutdown properly :) 2 can play Zigberts twisted game.
And lets not forget over 78% wanted it the way I re-invented the wheel of 4.2. So zigbert can Ppissoff. So stay tuned it only gets better.

78% of the people who voted bling vs no bling poll (kill pwidgets) wanted pwidgets gone, it was around 100 votes. So I do have a nice size following that will enjoy a Zigbert free puppy :) well you can tell with the number of users replying. Anyways he has the power to stop this, But really it makes a better puppy to not have so much gtkdialog appications, really its not his coding which is faulty, its the library he uses, I wouldn't mind his apps if they were C or fox toolkit, never really seen any eye apealing tcl/tk programs, well wishburner is well equiped but I like the look of xfburn, k3b, (ashampoo burning suite <-- windows, nero windows version) etc, But Pburn with some of themes looked nice, wouldn't mind seeing a erase-cdrw/dvdrw button on the main screen with the broom on the cd icon like on xfburn. Hate opening menus to do basic stuff like erasing a cd/dvd and quick erase should be default when opening Pburn. Most would want quick format.

??
Bling vs no bling has nothing to do with a Zigbert free Puppy.
I see no point in pwidgets, but I would be extremely disappointed if we lost Zigbert's other programs which have nothing to do with bling.
I haven't yet seen a lightweight substitute for pburn or pfind.
Xfburn looks like it might get there one day... I presume it doesn't require xfce?
Searchmonkey is useful, but it needs quite a lot of hacking before I'd want to get rid of Pfind.

FWIW you seem to be much more into bling than Zigbert - posting huge theme packages and saying things like
never really seen any eye apealing tcl/tk programs
but I like the look of xfburn, k3b,
:)

"Pre-loved" is PC.

It's even PC for second hand PCs. If the police have one, then it's a PC PC PC.

It's PC gone mad.
