rheya,

if you rub hardinfo, (Menu->System->HardInfo), then click USB Devices, then click on your Creative device, what does HardInfo report the device's Vendor & Product ID's as?

I have a similar problem: I checked 3 webcams, all 3 are OK with windows:

The first is a logitech. It works with Puppy and Skype but it is not mine...
The second is an old kodak EZ300. Behaviour is very poor with Skype (is very slow and contrast is too high)
The third is unknown. It doesn't work at all, and this is the one I should make working.

But if I rub hardinfo, (Menu->System->HardInfo), then click USB Devices, i can't see anything with any webcams connected.

What can I do?
