Subject description: Puppy only with a web browser

I insered a new partition (with puppy) because I want to have a fast S.O. that only permits me to surf in Internet.
So, I would like to remove all the already installed programs, which I don't need.
Can you help me and give me a list of programs to remove? Of course Abiword, Gnumeric and so on, but I would like to know also which system-programs I can remove.

You could download a Barebones and stick Firepup on.

Barebones 4.12 is here : http://www.puppylinux.org/downloads/puplets/barebones-pup-412

Firepup can be downloaded from http://www.puppylinux.ca
I think. I know Firefox is there.

You can upload to germanpup's site:
ftp://puppy:puppylinux@ftp.servage.net

Perhaps create browserpup directory there.

Removing files doesn't necessarily mean a speed increase at all. The mere existence of a file doesn't mean it is slowing anything down.

With a high powered computer, even killing background processes may not increase speed, because the computer may be able to handle every task at a virtual idle.

With a low powered computer, you can kill off a few running processes, thereby allowing more for the CPU and RAM if it is limited and gain some speed.

If you have Puppy 4.2, you can use Remaster Express ("RemaX custom live-CD creator" under the Setup menu) to uninstall built-in packages and create a remastered live-CD that doesn't have them. (Full disclosure: I'm the author of Remaster Express, so report bugs to me if you find any.)

It's built into Puppy 4.2. Just look near the bottom of the Setup menu.
