Silver-delite and Spreadbuntu made way for space considerations. Unfortunately I only deleted the shortcuts in RC4. The /images directories will also go in the next release - 177kb toward the 100Mb target for release. Ok. It's just not serious enough to throw everything out because Pango won't play with Symbols. If you can't fix it, we'll go with things as they are. Nothing is perfect in life, as we all know only too well. Are you saying your going to delete the images directory? you can't it has all the main images for all 7 themes. the total size of that directory compressed is 58kb pet or 243kb extracted. Choose any font. I'm not willing to go to the lengths of deleting directories in /usr/lib, since those are put back there every time by the createpuppy script pulling them from their individual packages. I'd have to delete and replace them for every single build. Then there's the complications that raises for RemaX when removing those applications - their libs would get left behind because they wouldn't exist where they are supposed to within the pup_420.sfs file.
There has to be some other way. We just haven't found it yet is all.

The CUPS issue is a problem, but at least we know about it and we know that there is a patch or fix available.
I'm not going to upload the next version this weekend. It would be pointless with so little to do before Final. You'll have your "2 days".
The Deep Thought theme is central to this release. You know I can't and won't take that out at this stage. Your extra Icewm themes were not central to this release. Like the other "Bling" you have been protesting about elsewhere, they can still be added later without a problem. They are not a usability feature nor even a part of the overall look and feel. Offer a ttuuxxx Bling.pet if you like; include the Puppy-4.2 button you made for JWM, too. With only the Final release to go, I'm not making any changes that don't add significant value to the total package. Call me short-sighted if you like but there you have it.
