@ Haut_dawg - I didn't experience any missing libs when I installed it. There is a .pet of libs on here somewhere I'll see if I can locate it then I'll update this post.

I found it:
http://www.smokey01.com/ttuuxxx/other/L ... -links.tar

Discussion is here:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... rt=105#top

Hope that helps. :)

libpthread-stubs.so.0 seems to be the problem. I downloaded that libs w links tar.. still no luck. I searched on the net for it. I found some references for a patch. I'll keep trying. Thank you for helping out.

Nothing fancy, but the current dark/blue theme I've got set up on my IBM NetVista tinker box. I aim to do some more tweaking for a nicer look this weekend :)

still having problem getting Fluxbox to work

#2059 Post by Haut_Dawg »

Hmm, I think at this point I'm gonna get that new Precise update that just came out yesterday. Maybe the problem might be fixed. Also it might be a file system problem cause I formatted my drive for ext4 with a frugal install. And I may also install Saluki too, cause I put it on my friends eeepc and it works like a champ (xcfe looks tasty..) I hope Saluki supports PAE. Anywho, I'm aiming for that slick black look that BuddhaDog had on his Slimpup. 8)

@darkstrike I like yours too.

Installed new pup

#2060 Post by Haut_Dawg »

I'm trying to use a new approach now. I came across this site

http://lucky13linux.wordpress.com/2008/ ... jwm-theme/

I'm trying to copy and paste a new theme for jwm.
I get this error message. What I'm I doing wrong?

Not sure about the error but I suspect there is some code in Puppy that rejects John Denver music.

Hello, Haut_Dawg!

I don't have a functional geany on this machine, but as I remember it, there should be a character code modifier under geany's sub-menu "save" or "save as".

Alternately, load your txt file in leafpad. In the save panel, it should offer a choice of character codes to save in.

Regards.

:D Playing with Openbox.
In my language there's this saying "El que quiere celeste, que le cueste" (Those who want it skyblue should work hard for it), but having my desktop the way I like wasn't that difficult. And I didn't use either Wbar or XFCE. :lol:

@vicmz

Thanks for the tip about pwidgets. I tried to get conky working the command line way, but alas, I'm not that good with command line yet..
Speaking of glitchy is there anyway to fix my weather widget to display the correct local temp?

I don't know, but you may want to post about this in the Pwidgets forum thread.
