Re: latest lappie screenie
Yup. But the gradients look slightly better in the original. :p That's an obsessive-compulsive way of describing the increasing importance of the smaller difference.ttuuxxx wrote: hmmm I converted that image to a jpg and now its 18kb

Thanks guys! The scope trace itself is actually waveform screenshot from Adobe Audition, it is several seconds from a Pnuma Trio tune I was messing with at work. I credit too much sugar and caffeine for any inspiration.2nd that!
Nice one, Tubeguy.....it appeals to the old tubeguy in me from my 70's roadie days.....ahhh, the glow.....mmm
Amplify your computer with the triode, is an excellent logo, and the scopetrace is cool, too, but where's the bass??

Thanks.
I wish that XFCE would finally support real (or at least pseudo) transparency, though. Using ImageMagick for dynamically creating a panel ain't the most efficient way, and the menu I wrote requires both TCL/TK + Img module and ImageMagick to work. Eventually I gotta learn how to program in C/C++ I guess.

Maybe, but it works.dejan555 wrote:Heh yeah those are bit unusual dependencies for panel
And unless I can find a substitution that provides a menu with
- (pseudo-)transparent background
- a freely configurable layout requiring little effort to configure
- direct link buttons to specific folders (like downloads, music etc)
- direct action buttons with multiple functions (left-click = action1, right-click= action2)
- a built-in entry field for launching or/and searching applications
- a compact selection menu sliding in and out between the categories and the applications
I'm gonna have to stick to what I can get to make the above possible.
