I have a laptop that no longer is able to boot into windows from HD.
In any event... I was able to boot it from a live-puppy DVD-rw (and I can even see the HD , windows directory and all!)
However, while I an running Puppy I can not connect to the internet
It does not find my wifi. It does not show up in the interfaces (only shows Loopback and eth0
The wifi indicator light on the laptop is not on. When I push the wifi enable hardware button on the laptop , the light (and the WIFI) does NOT turn on.
When the PC was running under windows (when it used to boot under windows) the wifi button and wifi worked fine.
Clearly, there must be some driver or other program that is not running now.
Any suggestions on how to get puppy to turn on the wifi radio and use it?
Thanks in advance.
i am running the Seamonkey 4.1.2 release Dec 2008 25.16 kernal

Which puppy derivative are you using? If it does not work then the first option probably is to use another puppy distribution.
I have tried puppy on many different laptops and indeed, sometimes a computer just does not work properly with it. Not even when the right drivers are installed.
At the moment I use iscraigh's Acer One puppy,
ftp://puppy:puppylinux@ftp.servage.net/ ... 410-27.iso
and that one -in my experience- has the least failures so far.
