Subject description: Modify the initial menu to add/substract categories

Buenass...

I am new in this, and I am trying to modify the puppy because I want to transform my pc in a terminal, where the user only could execute the links that I put into the desktop.

But if It's impossible remove the menu, then It could be interessting to modify the menu to leave only some categories or programs to execute.

Anyone knows if it's possible.....

Thanks.

Removing the xdg menu system would be problematic.

You need to edit the /etc/xdg/templates file to remove whole categories, and you can delete /usr/share/applications/*.desktop files selectively to remove individual programs from the menu. After making changes, open a console and type "fixmenus" (no inverted commas) to update the menu file and restart JWM to use the new menu file.

Hope that helps.

It has been very easy to do.
Thanks a lot.
But do you know if it's possible to hide the bar. And then a combination keys could be visible the bar...

Thanks in advance.
