Modify the Menu Subject description: Modify the initial menu to add/substract categories
Buenass...
I am new in this, and I am trying to modify the puppy because I want to transform my pc in a terminal, where the user only could execute the links that I put into the desktop.
But if It's impossible remove the menu, then It could be interessting to modify the menu to leave only some categories or programs to execute.

Removing the xdg menu system would be problematic.
You need to edit the /etc/xdg/templates file to remove whole categories, and you can delete /usr/share/applications/*.desktop files selectively to remove individual programs from the menu. After making changes, open a console and type "fixmenus" (no inverted commas) to update the menu file and restart JWM to use the new menu file.
Hope that helps. _________________ Actions speak louder than words ... and they usually work when words don't!
