I think it's meant to work over the internet. I've got a session running now that you can try to connect to. It should be up for an hour or two, unless someone makes me turn the computer off early
My IP address seems to be 123.100.93.150 but I don't know if it will work - I can connect to it myself using my lan IP address, but not my WAN IP address. I turned off the firewall in my router... I guess the problem could be either that my ISP has some sort of firewall protecting me from connections on the port it's using, or just that it won't let me connect to myself
If someone else wants to try hosting a session I can try connecting to it.

I'm still here, so I suspect it is either my ISP blocking it somehow or maybe my router actually doesn't allow incoming traffic on that port, even with the firewall turned off. It isn't very configurable.
