Did it not install QT when you installed it?
I told dir2pet that it had qt4 as a dependency.

It does not seem to have.
Maybe if someone else tries it.
The installs QT and see if it works . . .

If you want to use it you can install QT from petget or ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pet_packages-4/qt4-4.3.2.pet

thanks Disciple - tried that pet - now working in 4.2
Is it designed to work on an intranet or across the internet too?

I think it's meant to work over the internet. I've got a session running now that you can try to connect to. It should be up for an hour or two, unless someone makes me turn the computer off early
My IP address seems to be 123.100.93.150 but I don't know if it will work - I can connect to it myself using my lan IP address, but not my WAN IP address. I turned off the firewall in my router... I guess the problem could be either that my ISP has some sort of firewall protecting me from connections on the port it's using, or just that it won't let me connect to myself
If someone else wants to try hosting a session I can try connecting to it.

Could not connect to your IP
but you may not be there
Thanks for the info
- one more thing the pet does not install a menu entry under graphic - so had to run from command line

I'm still here, so I suspect it is either my ISP blocking it somehow or maybe my router actually doesn't allow incoming traffic on that port, even with the firewall turned off. It isn't very configurable.
It didn't seem to include a .desktop file, so feel free to make one
