Dejan,

This IMO is your best skin to date, It's big, but I'll push for Sigmund to include in Pwidgets extras pack. I may even make a 'best of' pack of skins and pet them up and host them myself. :P

I've been using it since you made it, screeny on puppylinux.org.

:D

Thanks, I know it's big but sometimes when I make it look the way I imagine I don't like striping size cause of quality loss, I make them all png and save them with compression factor 9 in gimp. I could make them indexed to save size but that way they lose smooth borders. But anyone can easily do this if they want so, open it in gimp, go to Image->Mode->Indexed, reduce number of colors (experiment what's the optimal number of colors) then save it, it should be lighter in size, or try resizing it too.

hehe, cool 8)

For Newbies! Place your clockskin in /root/.pwidgets/clock_skins. ".pwidgets" is a hidden file, click the eyeball in the Rox filer task bar, you will see a bunch of files and folders with a "dot" before them. Same goes for sidebars, /root/.pwidgets/sidebars. :wink:

EDIT: Ha, that is now old news, put them in /usr/local/pwidgets/widgets/clock_skins

Cheers

this may be old news, but if you install MU's gdesklet pet with 200 clock skins, you can copy the skins from there to pwidgets, then uninstall gdesklets and keep the clocks. I have over 240 different clock skins now.

<REQUEST>

I need someone to write a script that would allow me to put a picture in my Pwidgets, sort of like a picture frame. I tried to modify the Pet config file and the clock-analog file to achieve this, but to no avail. I'm not that advanced in my computer science classes yet, so I am asking for help. It just needs to be a single picture that I can change the path to in the config file.

Thank you very much.

Can't you use slideshow plugin? I never used it but this is what it serves for isn't it?
