Forget Ubuntu 9.10, simplicity-910-netbook-edition is out

#1 Post by PenPen »

I am downloading the newest puplet available.

I've used simplicity-linux-netbook-edition on my S10 netbook with no problems and now look forward to evaluating and using both the netbook and desktop versions of simplicity-linux.

I hope all have as good as an experience with this puplet as I have,

What is simplicity netbook

#2 Post by nancy reagan »

Hi,

Can you tell a bit more about this puplet.

Which programs does it contain

On which puppy (3,4,or 7 etc) is it based ?

Does it have a special issue, use ?

In other words: "what makes this puplet different from the others ?"

aspire one works great

Just a quick thanks. I have been having much difficulty using newer puppys on my 8.9 inch aspire. The browsers all had to be reduced in size on an already little screen. Simplicity works great in both opera and seamonkey. Are you planning to get suspend to work or is there a way I can get it work now. I have an ubuntu installed that does suspend and would really like a puppy that did the same thing.

again. really good puplet.

web browsers

Just a note. I upgraded to seamonkey 2.0 and now I get the flashing and flickering when using full width image. Opera 10 still works OK. I don't know if this is just an aspire one problem, or perhaps my particular machine.

any thoughts welcome.

Hi,

You can get more information at this web site:

http://www.simplicitylinux.org.uk/

The author of simplicitylinux is a quick one to comunicate with anyone that has any problems and will E-mail you back with any information requested.

It's a quick download, take it for a spin....

BHINTZ,

I'm an Opera fan from when it first came out on a floppy, it has served me well and use other browsers as they show up but for me Opera is comfortable. (Browser/Mail in one package)
I have not had any problems with simplicitylinux = it has just worked for me.
By the way I also use CRPT42Plus on a 2Gig ram stick when I need to insure all is kept incryted for my overseas work.
