Subject description: Latest version with many new features

Here's the latest version, released last week.

I compiled it with the built-in colour-picker and with the gtk file-selector.
The pet doesn't contain the .desktop file, as you most likely have one from the previous version (and I modify mine, so don't remember what the one in Puppy was...).

(personally, as english speaking, I say thank you for stripping all locals)

That's strange... I did a forum search for "mtpaint" before uploading and it didn't find yours!

Well I am happy you did not find it because I could not run that version on my Puppy which is still 2.17. Yours runs fine so thanks.

And what you didn't like about the new file selector? It is much more capable than the GtkFileSelection widget used before, and if users do not like it for some reason, then I need to know why. Otherwise, how could I improve it in later versions?

Dear Dmitry,

I want to thank you for work on mtpaint. It is small and pretty capable, and I wish some users would stop criticizing the app. It is what it is. As for the file selector, the green folder icons conflict with my GTK theme and look out of place. That is why I prefer - for optics only - dougal's version. You might want to have your selector widget simply use the stock GTK folder icon so as to avoid that problem. In any case, I will test out your selector to see what it can do. Хорошо, что у нас есть выбор.

With kind regards,
vovchik

Thanks. I'd thought about it myself already - but version 3.30 had been released by then. Now I implemented it for the future 3.31 branch - the source is here:
http://mtpaint.sourceforge.net/temp/mtpaint-3.30.01.tar.bz2.

Mark Tyler wrote a good description of it, here: http://mtpaint.blogspot.com/2008/11/file-picker.html

That I will answer when I get to reply to your last email...
