What happened to lighthouse puppy? "Extended Illness"?

#1 Post by suttiwit »

The latest news on Lighthouse's website is:

2014.10.17 Lighthouse Pup and LIghthouse 64 are not currently being maintained due to an extended illness. We appreciate your support during this difficult period and apologize for any inconvenience.

What does "extended illness" mean?
Who has this illness? Is it the OS? Is the creator? Who???
And if the creator is ill (for a year! that's weird), why aren't anybody further developing lighthouse pup (since this is Linux, anyone is free to contribute)?

And what does this "Linuxcounter.net" mean?
A very annoying pop-up occurs whenever this page is opened! Who needs to be counted - and, why?

For your imfo Tazoc was the creator and why is weird for somebody to not be well for a long period which by the way is what it means.

I suppose having cancer is weird is it - a horrible way to die that I have witnessed several times - is that weird enough for you.

Hello @Suttiwit

There is a "Tribute" Project that is occurring, click here, ===> http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=97393
Members are participating to help carry-on the work that @TaZoC gifted to this community.

He was a pioneer in his efforts in making a leading edge PUP that intended to be efficient and very ease-of-use for any member who touched it. The tribute project look like it intends to make his kernel and its packages current while continuing to maintain an ease of use approach.

Hope this is helpful.

@ suttiwit. I will ask you again. Why do you feel it necessary to add an invisible counter - which I consider a form of snooping spam -
