mkaddon sfs wizard Now with more control

#1 Post by technosaurus »

Here is the update to alpha release

1. extract the script to a large partition (or anywhere if you have enough space in your pupsave)
2. make an empty <directory> in the same place
3. drag the empty <directory> to the script and wait... and wait

Your puplet addon will be named directory_XXX.sfs

For a quick test run

rename it zdrv_XXX.sfs and put it with your pup_XXX.sfs
Now reboot with pfix=ram and see how it went
(this is not required for normal use - it is just a quicker way to test)

Please let me know if any important files get missed (or if you have feature requests)

This script was designed for 3 main purposes
1. to save bandwidth
2. to allow more people to publish their puplets
3. to make it easier to make a multipuplet CD/DVD

I am uploading an updated version that lets you choose what parts you want to add to your sfs.

Options include
  • pup_XXX.sfs
    zdrv_XXX.sfs
    additional loaded sfs files
    installed packages
    desktop settings
    hardware settings
This is a significant improvement over the previous versions that would only copy data from the current session and/or copied unnecessary data.
