I have uploaded the pet and sfs for 1.1.24 to same locations as normal puppylinux.asia (have not change the title thread due to bandwidth exceeded)... if someone really wants it now, maybe you could sweet talk eric to sync asia with ca (I never got an actual account there)

changes: now compiled with gnutls on 4.2.1 and updated winetricks (for others see winehq.org)

Thanks to Aragon (I think) for posting the alsa-lib DEV package so that sound works - I have been compiling non-sound programs for the last month or so and have missed a lot of wine action.

With some of the new developments it appears to be a good time to toy with the idea of a puplet with only wine apps again

Where can i get this dependencies for wine in PET or PUP pack's ? :

These dependencies required by wine-1.1.24-i486 package are missing:
File /usr/lib/wine/glu32.dll.so has these missing library files:
libGLU.so.1
File /usr/lib/wine/wldap32.dll.so has these missing library files:
libldap_r-2.4.so.2 liblber-2.4.so.2

The PETget package manager does not know what package/s has/have these libraries.

Dear technosaurus,

Thanks for this version (1.1.24). It works fine in Puppy 3.10 and 4.10, so I am very happy with it - and it has GL and Jack support.

With kind regards,
vovchik

Upgrade from 1.1.14

#132 Post by virtualbox »

Hi there -

I'm trying to get Eve Online running...

I'm on a frugal install of Puppy 4.12 Tipsy Nvidia which comes bundled with wine 1.1.14...

I want to install the latest wine from:
http://puppylinux.ca/members/T/486_pet/ ... 4-i486.pet

Will it kill my installation if I install this pet - will it overwrite my current wine?

What would you do?

Wine Update

#134 Post by virtualbox »

Normally I would put the cd in and come back fresh and happy ...

Today, however I would like to update the broken copy of wine on my 4.12 tipsy puppy frugal installation...

I just bust the old wine ...

How do I remove a bust copy of wine and install this pet?

: )

EDIT:

Uninstalled the pet via package manager - reinstalled wine - job done.

EDIT:

Black screen in EVE Online under Puppy/Wine?

Clear your cache (delete all the files in):
/<user>/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/<user>/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/

Also added the lines to WINE registry at:
/<user>/.wine/user.reg

[Software\\Wine\\Direct3D]
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"MaxFragmentUniforms"="1024"
"MaxVaryings"="52"
"MaxVertexUniforms"="1024"
"OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo"
"PixelShaderMode"="enabled"
"VertexShaderMode"="hardware"
"VideoMemorySize"="256"

Worked 4 me!

panzerpuppy, maybe you would like to try my .pet for wine 1.1.26, I would like to see if it works for someone else, it seems OK. I used to just convert the slackware package with tgz2pet, but now I compile it.

http://cid-625fa2669ac927b6.skydrive.li ... 6-i486.pet

I followed the instructions here http://www.puppylinux.org/wiki/software ... stuff/wine to compile it, and it has the ALSA dev stuff, good luck.

Dear lezzloco,

I tried out your pet on 3.01 and 4.10 and can report that it works fine on both. Thanks. Perhaps, next time you can include jack, which I usually need for midi work.

With kind regards,
vovchik

So here is 1.1.27, with "jack" (but I know nothing about "jack", so have no idea if it's OK)

EDIT jack not working after all

mawebb88 I did try to sort out the GLU thing, but also have no idea if it is OK, and I forgot about the .sfs so it will have to wait till next time.

I do apologize for stealing any of your "thunder" technosaurus.
