Any more ISO or other hosters available? Please add details to this thread.

I have been contacted a couple of times about being provided with large fast server space for Puppy.

So far nothing has come of it and so many thanks to MU and 'Previously known as Guest'

My FTP server has an "incoming" directory that you can upload to. Presently, its limited to 1GB, but I can adjust it if needed. (I permit subdirectories if you have more than one file that needs to be kept together.)

Email me (or PM me) with details so I know what to do with it.

I haven't used this "Internet clipboard" for anything but it might be useful for making relatively small files (up to 2 MB if I understand correctly) available to anyone.

It works, sort of...you have to login as yourself, in other words if you were to log in there as SitHeelSpeak with my password, you could view my files...but it does not seem to be a way to share among many users.

http://tinypic.com seems better, though clunky. Sometimes you must try two or three times to get a good upload, and it works better if the pic is under 200kB. Some recent pics of mine, uploaded there:

7th Cavalry Monument, Last Stand Hill, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, taken June 25 2006:

The Indian Memorial, about 150 feet to the northeast of it:

ShinyFeet Has Closed - Jan 29th, 2006

It is a sad day for us here at ShinyFeet. Unfortunately we are left with no choice but to shutdown until we can find funding.

Our business model was simple, provide the users of the world Unlimited email space with useful integrated tools (File Manager, etc.) for FREE with advertisers footing the bill.

The bad part was too many users abused the system and our advertisers saw little support.

There were a handful of users that gave us great praise and loved ShinyFeet, and we hope to be back for you.

ShinyFeet is closed.

If you have a Gmail account you can store files there.

Firefox has an add on called Gspace.

I uploaded some puppy modem files there to test it, and it works fine.

I thought somebody might be interested.

Just found a great host for files. They should be adding .pups .iso and .tar.gz to the files that can be uploaded. They gave you a free 6 gigs of storage and 30 gig transfer. WWW.eggdisk.com . Support for .iso .pup .tar.gz and .tgz have been added.

Total Disk Space: 253179 MB Allowed Transfer: 2100.00 GB
Disk Usage: 1499 MB Transfer Used: 5.11 GB (0.24%)

This is my current hostage usage for my Servage.net account (I got it with a coupon for puppy giving us and puppy 2 months free hosting!). We would be happy to mirror any ISO or Pups. Something tells me Im not going to have bandwidth/space problems for a while ;-)

Let us know how we go about this.

How many of these are still up? It looks like

puppyfiles.us

is down, and my connections to puptrix and dotpups.de has been sporadic over the past couple of days.

Time for a pledge drive?

as far as I tested, dotpups.de was always available, at least in germany.

Maybe there were some problems with the atlantic-cablenodes.
It will be replaced by a different solution however in february.

Puptrix is down at moment, but usually it does not take long, until it works again.
Puptrix might be a bit problematic simply because it hosts mainly very large files (Isos). This might cause some overloads from time to time.

That must be it. I was getting 503 errors last night, as I was looking for Megapup003, and Ruby. Might have been too much traffic, either enroute, or at the server.

Good to know.

It might do well to update threads like this, the wiki, etc. with that sort of info, so that Puppy doesn't look, for lack of a better word, unprofessional.
