I host a small family forum and I have 250 megs of space. Is that enough to contribute to host some of these iso's? Or do you need something on a much larger scale? I just barely know enough to host the site, no idea how to manage the space or anything. But if I can help, let me know. I'd love to host a few distros.

Well . . . at least until you run into an error message like this, which I've been getting all day today:

Free services come and go but if you use them to regularly create enough free mirrors you always be able to rescue and share your files.

if anyone's still looking....
SaveFile allows up to 100mb file size & unlimited downloads.

DropGet allows 1 gig file size but an ISO would need to be zipped and the longest time it can stay up is 2 weeks.

The other decent storage sites I've found, such as BoxNet don't allow files over 50mb for their free sties.

They host "free-libre" files for "free-gratis". Maybe one of you Puplet creators might want to ask them if they'll host your ISO.

I looked around their website, FAQ, wiki & forums but couldn't find any mention of file size limits.

I can't say enough good things about drop.io http://drop.io/

Slick web 2.0 interface. No ads. No registration. No expiration. No moderation. No bandwidth caps. Dead simple to use. Cool collaboration options. Size limit per drop is 100MB, but you can make as many as you want. Paid size upgrade is only $10/GB/year.

The best free public file hosting that I am aware of and have not seen mentioned here is MediaFire-

http://www.mediafire.com/

200 MB file size limit on the free accounts, but no other limits (bandwidth or traffic) that I am aware of, no captchas, waiting times or ban on simultaneous downloads, etc. You don't even really need to create an account to post up a file if you don't want to. Creating an account gives you the option of creating some directory structure for your files so you can keep track of things.

I changed the FTP-user for Puppyisos.org and dotpups.de.
It no longer uses an open password, as it was abused.

Please contact me via PM to get the password, if you need to upload files.
