Does anyone know of a VPN client that will work with Puppy 4.1.2 ie OpenVPN
The posts I've read here in the forum do not help me. I tried using PPTP VPN Client, but it will not connect to my office network.
What VPN client works in Puppy?
pptp, openvpn and ciscovpn are different protocols. Before going any further you need to establish which one you should be using. Either talk to your sysadmin or tell us what software you use under windows (if you do).

Cisco VPN
Stumbled upon this thread while trying to set up my Cisco VPN connection. I followed the instructions here http://www.longren.org/2007/05/17/how-t ... isty-fawn/, but found that I needed to patch the vpn file. When I tried to use the "patch" command I get an error from puppy telling me that the command is not found.
Any ideas as to how I can patch a file in puppy so that I can get the VPN working?
Thanks!

The 10/04/2007 post at that link points to code that doesn't need patching.
pizzasgood released some pets here
cisco_vpn_client and citrix_client from pcPuppyOS
or you might want to just try pcpuppyOS
pcPuppyOS - with Citrix, Cisco VPN, OOffice/Oxygen, WPA2

Harry,
I spoke too soon. I did get the VPN client working in Puppy, but I can't seem to get it to recognize my profile to connect I installed the *.pet OK, but how to I get the thing to recognize the profile? I have added my profile file to the /opt/cisco/vpn/profile directory. Must I add the profile elsewhere?

No more help from me I'm afraid.
I have never used cisco vpn and I don't have access to a server to test a connection to.
