gnupg encryption

#1 Post by tronkel »

Something that always seems to get missed out in puplets is the inclusion of GNUPG. In this era of internet surveillance and security risks, is this not a serious omission?

Some of the little utilities that use GNUPG are neat. Key management programs etc. Gnome desktop has a neat little panel applet that can encrypt/decrypt/sign the clipboard for example.

Space permitting of course. If there is a space problem, at least a dotpet could be built with the necessary goodies? Maybe even a separate puplet if not actually in 4.2 itself.

I made a version of sylpheed with gpg, but it will not run in Puppy, as it was compiled in ultrapup.

user: puppy password: linux

But the gpg libraries themselves should work.

Or look here:

I made that for Puppy 3, it has seperate pets.
