aMule Subject description: aMule-2.2.3 |

http://www.amule.org/
aMule is a free peer-to-peer file sharing application that works with the EDonkey network and the Kad Network, offering similar features to eMule and adding others such as GeoIP (country flags). It was forked from the xMule source code in September 2003, which itself is a fork of the lMule project, which was the first attempt to bring the eMule client to Linux. These projects were discontinued and aMule is the resulting project, though today, aMule has less and less resemblance to the client that sired it.

ok; the lib problem was solved by downloading libbfd-2.15.92.0.2.so from http://puppylinux.ca/tpp/ttuuxxx/Libs/ and creating the appropriate symlink (thx robwoj44!); now i get this:
| Code: | | amule: symbol lookup error: amule: undefined symbol: _ZN11__gnu_debug19_Safe_iterator_base12_M_get_mutexEv |
any ideas?
thanks,
-ste ve

I rename the libbfd from tpp/ttuuxxx/Libs to libbfd-2.18.50.0.2.20071001.so and copy it to /usr/lib

Hi T_Hobbit,
from
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=269867#269867
thank you very much.
Although doing as you did (above) still brought dependencies messages after wxwidgets installation, even so amule have installed with no more dependencies messages.
Now the first thing it warned was not to run as root... Well, as I have a clue on why is this important, please, how can I change it and be sure I'm not running as root?
Many thanks,
~renlac
