I know that there's a spider version included in the tkgames package.. If you install tcl & tk packages from this thread, then when you extract the tkgames package, it will run straight away...upon clicking.

Plus, see this other thread, for another version of spider. I'm not sure whether xpat2 has a spider version, or not, but you could download it & try it as well.

Lastly, pysol has about 200 different patience games, whereas pysolFC has something like 1000!

Most games like that you can find as flash games, here's one
http://content.funny-base.com/games15/spider.swf
just right click it and click "Save Link As" then once you have it, just click on it and it will open up in your browser window, Then just reduce your browser window size and the game will shrink to a better size.

Thanks for your help.

I found tkspider in a zip package and extracted it to /usr/bin/. Then I created a tkspider.desktop file and moved it to /usr/share/applications/, in an attempt to make it show up on the menu. When I restart the computer or restart JWM it won't show up on the menu, any ideas?

Both files are attached in a .tar.gz file.

Never mind. I deleted a entry in the menu and tkspider showed up. There must be a size limit on the menu. One quick question is there a way to create a sub-menu in the menu? I have ace of penguins installed which has a bunch of different games (everything but spider) and I want to create a sub-menu for it under fun. So you would click on Menu->Fun->Ace of Penguins->the game you want to run.

Is there a way to do that? Any help would be appreciated.

The only time I've seen that on puppy is using Icewm and the theme section where you have a choice of right or left window min/lower/max decorations

I figured I was getting off-topic so I posted in Users.

I got it working and it looks cool, also it turns out to be very simple.

Hi,

I have downloaded tkspider.tar.gz and installed tkspider in /usr/bin.
However, it did not work.
It shows: 'tkspider: line3: exec: wwish: not found'.
Do you know what is 'wwish' ???? Is it the same thing as the TCL windowing shell "wish' ???

TIA for any help.

Hi guys, is someone of you can tell me how to install one of these log (the card games you named above like Spider and others) in my computer. I tell you what I think: I have to unzip it with a log in my computer that I don'really remember the name. I'm suppose to get a .pup file and then open it with <Pupget> I think. I tried this but here's another problem: I even don't know where is it in my computer and I don't know how to look for it neither. Is somedy can tell me all the detail way please? Thanks.

I've edited the two links above. Also, xpat2 has spider.
