Sub_title: Debian Package Manager

Has this been ported over to Puppy yet? I have a whole lot of .deb packages I'd love to use and can't.

If they use the same glibC and you have all the libs, you should be able to use them.
just click on the package, it will open up, extract them to / (one up from root) and thats it, butttttt if you want to make sure that you have all the libs, extract them to a directory, then make that directory into a pet package and install it, the puppy package manager will tell you if your missing any libs:)

yes, just click on the .deb for the extraction gui.

The usual tool to create a .pet from a directory is:

# dir2pet directory-name

However, to do it without all the questions, just do it as-is:

# dir2tgz directory-name
# tgz2pet directory-name.tar.gz
