How is it possible to have more than one panel?
One on bottom with everything -active windows, which I would like to put on top bar along with another show desktop button.
And one last issue. Is it possible to have the location on a textbox on top of the window that can be manually typed in? Much quicker than having to actually browse through.
Thanks.

Are you talking about a location bar in rox (the file browser)? And one last issue. Is it possible to have the location on a textbox on top of the window that can be manually typed in? Much quicker than having to actually browse through.
Rox doesn't have a location bar, although you can install another filer that does - there is normally one included in Puppy, but you might want to install a better one.
Rox does have a similar thing (is it called a mini-buffer? I can't remember). Press / to get it.
The difference is that it changes folders as you type, and unfortunately that can be quite slow in the GTK2 versions of ROX that Puppy uses now. In particular, with the version of ROX in Puppy 4.x if you type more than one directory level e.g /usr/local/bin, and type the next directory level before it's finished loading the last (e.g. you start typing bin before it has finished loading /usr/local), then it drops back down a level (e.g. to /usr).

So if you're really lazy you could just wait for Puppy 4.2, which will include that new gui of Zigbert's for configuring a tray at the top of the screen

You could also try BoxPup (with Tint/LxPanel) or NOP (with xfce) if you'd like some nicely worked-out window managers - configuring them's a bit different than the usual jwm but you get introduced to Thunar as a file manager into the bargain (which you may like if a kinda/sorta file mgr 'browser' is what you're after .. it reminded me of win-Explorer the first time I saw it ).
No need to wait for the lovely P42 utility tray launcher, it pretty much works out-of-box on the recent pups with Zig's caveats (although I still kind of like wbar for ease of config and eye-candy appeal, transparency/pop or auto-hide? .. decisions, decisions ).
