Icon for xmahjongg

#16 Post by yorkiesnorkie »

Here's an icon I made for xmahjongg from a screenshot of the game. Note the real icon goes in usr/share/icons and has a filename of "xmahjongg.png" If you simply want to replace it you'll need to change the name of my file which is "xMahjongg.png"

Nice Tux! Thanks for sharing these as I'm quite sure they'll come in handy for me, especially whatwith how many different themes and icons I'm forever working with. :D

Great job and again: Thanks for sharing!

Cheers/Amicalement,

webcam icon

#19 Post by vovchik »

Dear puppians,

This icon may be too anatomical for some, but I use it for my netbook webcam. You can't mistake it for anything else, I think :)

With kind regards,
vovchik

That is sooo cool vovchik! Awesome! I've simply GOT to find some use for that! Hmm... maybe for an image viewer? LOL!

Thanks for that one. You've made some excellent icons which I still use here btw. :)

Cheers my Puppian friend!

useful tool for making fast icons:
iPhone / iTouch icon generator
http://www.flavorstudios.com/iphone-icon-generator

i don't even own an iphone.
it is fast lazy and easy way to make icons that you can "Preview & Download".

I agree with Stu there Tuxtoo!! - those are some mighty-fine-looking Puppy logo graphics! Stunning to say the very least! I've got numerous wallpapers sitting here in my directory that could use some "Puppy Logos" on them so as to dress them up on my own desktop - these fit the bill perfectly. Wowzers!!

Thanks for your contribution to Puppy Tuxtoo and keep up the great work. :D

Many thanks for the compliments guys, they are much appreciated. I also forgot to mention that the above images have transparent backgrounds as dose the drop shadow version.

You may also be interested in a Puppy linux Gimp Splash that includes the drop shadow version.

The shadow effect you posted looks a bit choppy on the N,U,X. Do to using Gimp, So I added a shadow using Photoshop, also made a glow effect.

Nice job ttuuxxx, thanks. Yeah, i noticed that choppy look but it wasn't like that before I uploaded it. Although when I downloaded it from here it was ok again. It just seems to look choppy on the forum. Although I don't know why.

Here's one more, I saved it as a gif because it reduced the file size by 2/3 over png24

mini-icons-pack

#33 Post by Tman »

Hi everyone,

I have created a pet that will replace most of the standard mini-icons with newer, better looking ones. Most of them I got from Puplite 4.0 which I found to be very nice (thanks ScOttman). Others are from icons gathered on the internet. Some have been modified by me. Give em a try; the pet is tiny.

http://www.smokey01.com/Tman/sp-looks/Mini_icons-sp.pet

enjoy!

Thanks Tman as these mini-icons are truly terrific!! We've needed some great-looking mini-icons like these for quite some time now to dress up the "extended menus". These really do fit the bill in this case!

Now I have several installs I'd like to go and upgrade before going offline this evening. ;)

Take care!
