Puppy Wallpapers
Wouldn't presume to give advice, especially if you are more skilled at gimp than I am, but here goes: open it up, pan in (view 4:1), then move the cursor next to whatever spot, type "o" and select the color of the spot right next to it, then type "a" for the airbrush (you might check the airbrush settings, but you should be good) then spray right over that spot to match the surroundings...puppyluvr wrote: Thanks,
Needs a little more work, and I "bloched" on the mushrooms...
I'm trying to get better at the keyboard shortcuts as it speeds up time with gimp exponentially...
here's a puppy one...tip: alter the hue and it still looks ok

I made this one on 4.2:
It's only 34K jpg, but gradients aren't very good on that one, I can upload higher res png if anyone wants, but it's around 500KB! Click to download^

Or, here's a wallpaper with non-gradiented background color, it's 33K, but looks good on desktop!

Hey guys,
There was a brushed-metal, or brushed-aluminium wallpaper, with the Puppy logo in bass-relief, like it had been punched out on the sheet of aluminium. I saw it in a couple of zigbert's posts, but I searched, can't locate it anywhere. Does anyone know where it is? Or, if you have it, would you mind posting it to this thread? I reckon it looks nice.

Zigbert don't have it anymore? You can also ask JebaJQ8, I've found his pet containing similar wallpaper at some japanese site, so it must be somewhere on japanese forum? Here's JQ8's pet:

It was right under our noses BK!
I had it on an old 4.1 install but deleted that save file. Took me some time to find it! Bit thick sometimes!

Exactly..would love that to be the default for 4.2...understand where WhoDo is coming from with 16bit image of that beach, and glad he is taking the lead on it, but would like something that looks a little more uniform and sharper with those default icons, something like this wallpaper or even one of the small stretchable wallpapers that goes a little better with those really nice icons...anyway. Yeah, that wallpaper rocks, dejan; couldn't agree more!dejan555 wrote:Now, that's a wallpaper!

Mr Max
Sounds good but you can´t post 40M here! Can you host them somewhere and add a link?
@all others.
We´ve made some great wallpapers here, I love tis thread! What we should do is pick about 20 of them and pet them up and offer them to WhoDo to put on the repo. That way a user can get a bunch of typically Puppy backdrops fully installed! A no brainer!
He already has a pet of the mini wallpapers so count them out.
Thoughts anyone?
