Guys
Would it be possible to change the thread name to:
Pwidgets ** - Desktop widgets for Puppy 4 series????
Really, I don't care if pwidgets is included in 4.2 or not (not anymore), but this is just me, you guys are entitled to say differently.....I'm still here because I learn things and made friends, for me that's what puppy's all about....togetherness...
As for 4.2? I think it's best to let Whodo decides...he's a pop already..grandpop even....he's wise I'm sure........

Downspeed..
I always used wireless and downspeed never failed me...today I just wanted to try lan cable (eth0), it worked in a way that the script parsed eth0 to downspeed config...but it also parsed wlan0! so both network are working at the same time and it messed downspeed widget up! it only can auto scan 1 module only!
people have to deactivate one module before conncting with another module ...and I don't know how to do that with puppy?

Cluster is buggy,
Slideshow in pupp_right is exactly 80 pixels left I edited in the blabla/puppy_right/xli script to correct for me. When I edit the list it doesn't work, still displays defaults, must edit the scripts, ok for trio, but my slow brain?
In system left same applies.
I got it how I wanted and it looks nice

There's something funny allright...
A bling or not to bling poll is funny!!
what's next? JWM or ICEWM poll?
Abiword vs OpenOffice poll?
I can think of many polls..
Or let's ditch Zigbert's work poll...hahahaha
I can't stop laughing...
Ok, now back to widget ... weather is overlapping with world time below it..I think It's world time height fault....
Mick
I cannot find anything wrong with my bling left & right desktop

When I use cluster, the slide show is exactly 80 pixels left of where it should be. It is printed so in "~/.pwidgets/profiles/Puppy___right/pwidgets-exec_xli"zigbert wrote:If your slow brain, - What about mine. - I don't even get what is wrongMick wrote:Slideshow in pupp_right is exactly 80 pixels left Confused I edited in the blabla/puppy_right/xli script to correct for me.

I should have been clearer. I am running live in RAM and deleted my ~/.pwidgets dir before installing 1.9-10.Code: Select all
#Pwidgets xli -geometry +1180+455 /root/.pwidgets/misc/frame.jpg & sleep 0.2 xli -geometry +1187+462 -delay 5 -goto /root/.pwidgets/misc/scaledimages/01.png /root/.pwidgets/misc/scaledimages/*.png &

Guys
don't laugh ok.. I think there's more to it than providing pwidgets for 4.2 users, or to be exact non-bling users, better to open it as independant project, Whodo's the one to decide for 4.2, but you Sigmund, you're the one to decide about pwidgets.., get my point?
Volunteers works for nothing...small or big the contribution is...if credit given then you should receive..if not? so what?
I'm going back to 4.1.2 ...and install pwidgets in there...at least it's a done deal (and only Barry alone is entitled of credits)...
