Yes, Horoscope only not following deepthought theme...tasmod wrote:trio, if you change theme does it work?
pWidgets 2.5.8
Don't know why that happened.
I made a new theme 'Silver' to set shades of grey and white. When I applied it, the widgets all defaulted to white.
I copied colours from a backup and placed them in each config. Clicked apply and all is well again. It even applies 'Silver' theme now.
Horoscope has given me an idea. i will do one for Moon phase, so the moon icon is always white.

Awww, I'm going out. Everything's going wrong.
Different computer, no changes. Click on desktop, widgets vanish. Click on desktop, widgets return. ??? What the ???
Convinced now there's a bug at work in either 1.9.9 or RC2 .
Two machines updated to 1.9.9 and both exhibiting strange behaviour.
Both load two analog clocks, but unless you realise they are stacked on top of each other. Drag top one across to reveal second.
If i click remove analog clock from pwidgets active window then apply, it will remove both analog clocks, no problem.
Then when i select analog clock to add, it also opens theme window.
Close that and use up arrow and it opens theme window again.
Both pcs do this.

RC2 had the older version of Wallpaper-0.5.1 (I think). Installing the later version Wallpaper-0.5.3 may solve some of these problems. It makes the backgrounds play nice with Pwidgets instead of fighting them for top spot. Worth a try.tasmod wrote:Convinced now there's a bug at work in either 1.9.9 or RC2 .
Hope that helps.

Hi guys
Tv working fine on lappy with the '#' at line 30 in ~/.pwidgets/plugins/tv/functions.
Had an issue with 'Mail' not following theme. It helped once added the pdingo bat '2' in frontand altered the colours but still strange, appears it should be ok OOTB.
Rob, why did you gravitate back so quickly? Even posting in the rc2 thread. I just avoid that place. If I have abug I 'll report it but I couldn't be bothered reading that thread. If the bug is already reported too bad, let 'em tear strips off me!
Cheers!

HOWTO updated, old info removed from main post, weather howto added to main post.
Rob, why don't you write a 'Mail' HOWTO, post it there (see my sig for link) and I'll paste it in the main post. The idea being, all howtos for pwidgets are only a click away.
Trio, if you can think of anything to add, do it.
Cheers.

- 2 clocks ??? - Not here. I need a closer look. Have anyone found the reason?

Calling '$APPDIR/func -apply' builds tree, so for 1.9-10 all tree-building is removed from plugins. Also much simpler to have only one place where widgets tree is formed. I think the end-user would like the help the plugins give. I have split the plugins in system plugins (sidebar, theme and cluster) and in widget related plugins. I will personally uncheck the auto-pop-plugin option, but most users will build their widget list rarely, so I leave it checked (for now). Let's play a while with it. It is easy to change if there are much negative responseTrio wrote:It's not pop to pop up the plugin before you the widgets tree is popped..ok pop?
