Sub_title: boot not supporting SD card

hi,

Acer Aspire One is great with Puppy 4.11 but :

If a SD card is engaged at boot time system does not complete the boot process.

SD card are however mountables after booting.

***ADDED : only in the left slot (storage extention)*****

Absolutlly need to boot from SD card ( double boot linpus/puppy)

Thanks to fix,
mp

" If a SD card is engaged at boot time system does not complete
the boot process."

Two weeks ago I fixed a little netbook 8,9" screen
laptop by formatting a 1 gig camera SD card,
and using Puppy 4.1 .

It booted pefectly.

For a $9 solution my computer shop owner was really happy
as these units tear up their 1.8" hard drives?
And replacements aren't cheap.

Although I don't know the brand...obscure company branded
laptop here in OZ......I'm pretty sure that it was an
Intel Atom 1.6 and 1 gig of memory.

So fire up Puppy 4.1.1 again...
use the universal installer again...
or check the flags in Gparted as...
LBA.....Boot
reboot the Acer and hit whatever option is on the keyboard to
select your SD card.
Is it F12 0n these? etc.

Chris.
