Full XScreenSaver .pet with RSS Display Support?

I am wondering if there is a .pet available for the full Xscreensaver package. I am looking for a screensaver that can display RSS information - I have been using xscreensaver for months on my Linux desktop which is a different distro and it works good for this. I saw other screensavers that use some of the xscreensaver modules but I think I would need the main xscreensaver application as it is one of the only ones that lets you setup RSS links for display. I did not see a .pet to install it in any of the regular places.

Seems to work to a degree - Phosphor is one of the modules that supports RSS - to setup RSS, you go to the Advanced Tab on the main Screensaver Preferences screen, and then Text Manipulation and set it to an RSS URL and then it should display RSS info with modules that support RSS. It seems like the Lighthouse version I am trying it on is having problems running that particular module - the other regular screen saver modules seem to work OK though. If you try and Preview the Phosphor module, you get the message forkpty: No such file or directory.

:D Hello,
Got the same error on phosphor, IDK what it means....
I dont have GL on this Pup, so cant test GLText...However, when fed the Puppylinux.org RSS URL, FontGlide works, and displays the Feed fine..
Was GLText your intention, or is there an RSS Text module for xscreensavers I dont have???

Any module that would display an RSS feed would be OK so Fontglide would be fine. I tried Fontglide on two different puppy installs but get an error about "cannot locate text/wrap.pm" - it looks like it needs perl or some perl files to be installed which neither of the ones I have running must have.

I thank you for the pet but it isn't exactly complete. could you tell me how I could download the missing screendavers, especially, Starwars. I assumed I could find it in the documentation button but it doesn't open up anything for me.

:D Hello,
Yes, unfortunately, all links to puppylinux.ca and puppylinux.asia are broken..
Eric (caneri) had to close his sites.. My stuff, well some of it, is at the meownplanet link in my signature..
Many others have moved their stuff there as well, but IDK about Mark (mu)..
At my link is a "pupxscreensaver" built from 5.07`s gui and 5.12 binaries..
