Display is messed up, what can I do?

#1 Post by pfd27 »

Hi All

I'm new to puppy. When I tried it the display had lines through it and it was
rather hard on my eyes. How do I change the settings to make it clear?
I tried a few things, but nothing worked.

what graficscard?

Try different resolutions.

If it does not help, have a look, if the x.og -xserver supports your card:

I'll take a look and see what I can find. I only tried the live cd for a hourish, so
I didn't geet heavily into it

I have a SIS 530 or 630 in my notebook, works excellent with x.org.

On a Celeron 2200, it is even fast enough to use shadows and transparency at 1280*1024 pixel :)
