wxGTK-2.8.9-unicode.pet 3.3MB
This is NOT compatible with packages compiled against previous wxGTK packages, as they did not have unicode enabled.
Most other distros use unicode wxGTK, and I particularly made this so I could use the Fedora Hugin package.
It is compiled with unicode support and wx 2.4/2.6 compatibility. I don't know if most other distros use 2.4 compatibility, but that will also affect whether you can run their packages against this.
The executable is upxed, so you should really un-upx it if you put it in an .sfs or a remastered CD.
I think you could install this alongside a non-unicode wxGTK - not sure what you'd have to do about the executable though.
Only needed to compile apps against it:
wxGTK_DEV-2.8.9-unicode.pet 0.9MB
wxGTK-2.8.9-unicode
wxGTK-2.8.9-unicode

Wait... I still can't figure out why compiling against that dev package works sometimes, but I think the reason it doesn't work other times is that it doesn't have links to the libraries without anything after the .so
This should fix it
