I've just had a nightmare trying to install xfbdev because my laptop didn't work with xvesa. I could barely read what was on the screen! Now I've got xfbdev working the resolution is fine but mostly the screen is black with blue text. Sometimes I can't read the text unless it's highlighted. My resolution is 800x600 and i've tried 16 and 24 depths at 60, 56 and 75Hz but always have this black and blue screen!

Any ideas anyone?

BTW i've used DSL with xfbdev with no problems.
